Let’s talk safety for a second. Between 2008-2010, the transportation industry accounted for 11% of all workplace fatalities in Canada, resulting in 329 deaths. In the United States in 2013, 3,602 people died in large truck crashes. While even 1 death is unacceptable, these numbers are nothing to scoff at. These are working men and women with families, friends, and relatives and each death is a tragedy that could have been averted. They represent just how important safety is to both Fox Oilfield and the transportation industry in general.
This is why we’re incredibly proud to have both our Certificate of Recognition (COR) and Partnership in Injury Reduction (PIR).
The COR shows that Fox Oilfield is a company whose health and safety management system has been evaluated and approved by a certified auditor and meets standards set by the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) board.
The PIR is recognition of our commitment to promoting health and safety through partnerships with other safety associations, industry groups, educational institutions, and labour organizations. Fox Oilfield is now in a formal agreement with the Alberta government to take a leadership role in Health and Safety.
We believe having these designations is proof of our continued dedication and leadership in health and safety in Alberta. Our commitment to health and safety is just a single reflection of the kind of quality you will get when you choose Fox Oilfield for all your transportation needs. We look forward to working with you and showing our industry partners the difference working with a quality company makes.
